Talking Post-Truth Society

Track: Modern Talking
Date: Day 1
Location: Neufert-Mansion, Gelmeroda

We are living in a hypernormalized post-truth society. They say. However, the terms “post” as well as “truth” and especially the idea of “post-truth” are deceiving. We simply do not know and coping becomes a challenge, individually as well as for society.
In the tradition of the Bauhaus community we offer a walk during which we meet a set of philosophical provocations ranging from Aristotle to Niklas Luhmann, from Theodor W. Adorno to John Lennon. How do their ideas resonate with our need for explanation of and coping in a post-truth society? It will be a playful material storytelling, in which we use a large selection of things to anchor our reflections. So it becomes a walk about deconstruction, resonance and ante-narratives. You walk, you talk, you walk the talk!
